Programme
A large House located in Evere in Brussels, with Art Deco style was refurbished for a Communication and marketing manager and his family. The house was enlarged to the garden with a mettalic extension with large and high windows. These windows are opening in the garden and alows a good visibility and connection to the terrace and the view. The garden was designed to be more and more wild when the occupant is going deep in the end of the garden.
About
The house was existing form the 1950 in Art Deco style for the façade and the inner staircase. The existing staircase was kept with all the art Deco touch. The back of the house was full of little rooms (with lots of walls) added to gain place to the garden. The rooms in bad conditions were badly distributed with no clear connections to the garden. The house was designed to open completely the garden façade to the south and allows the natural light to enter in the building. The house was extended to the garden. The ground floor façade to the garden is created with large and high size door windows which open to the outside. This allows to gain place inside the living. A large patio is also created outside to allow eating outside in different seasons.
