Programme
Our mission does not stop the construction of an annex, but also extended to the compliance of the entire building with many complex regulations inherent in the geriatric sector.
About
Nursing home Drion, 20 years old Brasserie, located in Park area and Gardens, has undergone many refurbishments over time. The main volume is an old mansion, the second a building of the 70s. Derogations from the building regulations were numerous in order to implement a strong contemporary character building in a rural setting. This project was also borrowing a logistical complexity importantly, the nursing home being active during the work. Due to the dichotomy of architectural prints present, our mission was to work on the gap and create a link between distinct styles. All had to be harmonious and contemporary. In view of the general layout of the existing building, it was clear that our main intervention was to be in front, our work is focused on the visual qualities, acoustic and organizational work. In this context, a cubic vocabulary seemed most appropriate to this achievement. Wood siding that wraps it also highlights the monumental aspect of the manor and meet the imposing building. Building on stilts multiplies the number of parking spaces and considerably reduces all while leaving a footprint reduced on the ground.
