Competition Hong Kong West Kowloon Cultural District
The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the world’s largest and most ambitious arts and cultural building programmes which will deliver up to 17 new performing arts and visual culture facilities, open spaces, education, commercial and retail facilities as part of a new cultural hub being developed with funding from the Hong Kong SAR Government.
The Xiqu Centre (Chinese Opera Centre) will be a signature facility in the West Kowloon Cultural District. It will be designed to be a world-class facility that will become the home base for the preservation and development of Xiqu in Hong Kong.
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (the Authority) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced and qualified design teams interested in pre-qualifying for a competition (Competition) to select a design/design consultant for the Xiqu Centre. The Authority also invites EOI from experienced and qualified Acoustic and Theatre Planning Sub-consultants to work with shortlisted architectural design teams for the Competition.
The EOI for the Competition will close by 12:00 noon (Hong Kong Time) on Tuesday, 10th April 2012 while that for both Sub-consultants by 12:00 noon (Hong Kong Time) on Friday, 30th March 2012. For enquiries, please email to xiqucentre.eoi.design@wkcda.hk (for EOI for the Competition), xiqucentre.eoi.acoustic@wkcda.hk (for EOI for Acoustic Sub-consultant) or xiqucentre.eoi.theatre@wkcda.hk (for EOI for Theatre Planning Sub-consultant).
