Gilles Dumoulin

Gilles Dumoulin (1985) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Brussels and whose main medium is photography. He studied photography at the École de Recherche Graphique (ERG - Brussels,BE -2012) and the Académie Beeldende Kunsten in Anderlecht (BE - 2023). He is also a student in Urban Planning and Territorial Development.
His work revolves around the territory, architecture and the environment. He produces large-format photographs, as well as sound recordings and videos. He questions our relationship with the landscape, with what is natural or artificial, true or false, beautiful or not in the collective imagination.
He also produces maps of modernist architecture in Brussels and elsewhere. The first volume, Modernist-Map-Brussels 1910-1940, was published in 2021.
