The pedestrian crossing inside the block, where vegetation has been favoured, is structured in such a way as to clearly characterise the different statuses of public, collective and private places. The vegetation acts as a compositional element in its own right, filtering the view at certain times and creating a distance that favours the security and intimacy of certain spaces, in particular for the crèche. These provisions encourage interaction between the residents of the housing, the users of the crèche and the semi-public spaces in order to become an intergenerational meeting place for the residents, local residents and collective activities. The project has been the subject of various consultations with neighbourhood committees, residents and local actors. Various information sessions have fostered interesting dialogues that have helped to refine the project. Volumetry and dimensions. The volumetry was developed with a view to establishing a clear and contemporary urban articulation while maximising both the quality of the interior spaces and the dimensions of the building. The volumetry has been developed to establish a clear and contemporary urban articulation while maximising both the quality of the interior spaces and the dimensions of the public space, which is essential for the neighbourhood, set back from the hustle and bustle of the main traffic route.
