About
Dardaar-A Happy Place is a light renovation project of the open space between the two social housing of the Pieremans plain in the alleys of the Helemans city. But first of all it is a pretext to allow for encounters among inhabitants, to invite them to use and to appropriate the open space. To do so we organized in total 18 thematic workshops to co-design and co-produce the transformation of the open space. Through a series of collective plantings, paintings and the co-construction of urban furniture we invited the inhabitants to contribute to improve the surroundings of the social housing blocs. As such, through a collective intelligence we co-transformed the surroundings into a more pleasant and lively area while giving the voice to residents and users.
