Belgian nominees at the UE Mies Award 2017

The jury of the 2017 edition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award has selected 7 projects built by French-speaking Belgian architects:

- Structure and Gardens, Brussels, 2010-2015 by BAUKUNST

Polyvalent infrastructure, Spa, 2012-2016 by BAUKUNST

- Keramis, Ceramic Center, La Louvière by Coton_Devisscher_Lelion_Nottebaert_Vincentelli (Atelier De Visscher & Vincentelli and Coton_Lelion_Nottebaert)

- NAVEZ - 5 social housing as northern entrance of Brussels by MSA in association with V +




Other Belgian architects nominated: 51N4E, Broekx-Schiepers architecten, OFFICE, de vylder vinck taillieu (2 projects), Stéphane Beel, BUUR, Coussée & Goris and Robbrecht & Daem.

The prize objectives aim at promoting and understanding the significance of quality and reflecting the complexity of Architecture's own significance in terms of technological, constructional, social, economic, cultural and aesthetic achievements.

The award is granted every two years to acknowledge and reward quality architectural production in Europe.
