Like a drawbridge, the extension of the restaurant comes to rest on the bank, above the moat of the castle. On the concrete base is placed a glass box, housing the kitchen and the dining room. The transparency of the glass reflects the activity of the kitchen from the park. The smooth and reflective nature of the glazing allows the trees and plant elements of the park to be reflected in it. The intervention then enters into dialogue with the exceptional buildings and environment of the site (park, stream, etc.) This light-looking open structure provides a spectacular effect to the new room and its kitchen. It increases the relationship with water by its direct proximity to the moat below.
