Treetop walkway

Programme

In line with its mission, the Maison du Parc Naturel des Plaines de l’Escaut et de la Scarpe wanted to add a walkway that would take the scientists, school groups and walkers up to the treetops to observe the forest. The chosen metallic structure — discreet and undulating — limits the number of supports and allows greater transparency. Thus, the walkway, with its deck “levitating” over the structural beam, blends in and coils its way around the existing vegetation.
