The proposed reflection is based on the potential of convivial public spaces to revive urban dynamics. It is combined with a rigorous methodology allowing citizen participation. This exchange with the population takes place throughout the process through public meetings and workshops. One of the major assets of Courcelles is the landscape in which the city center is inscribed. Roosevelt Square is a highlight, and the axes that converge there open up to distant views that connect the city with the "big" landscape. The view that opens up to the still virgin ZACC, to the east of the center, is particularly spectacular, as the natural environment bordering the RAVeL to the west. The study proposes to reconnect Courcelles to the landscape by a green network which integrates the existing open spaces and reinforces the network of alleys crossing the islets. The specific character of each major open space, existing or to be created, will be revealed and reinforced by the vegetation. These spaces will accommodate uses adapted to their characteristics and their role in the city (sport, relaxation, urban agriculture, commercial and cultural activities, immersion in nature, etc.). The green framework will be landscape but also program. The plant will also be used to unify and qualify the transitional spaces between the important places that are currently unstructured. Thus, the open spaces will be connected physically and symbolically.
