TOPIC/CONTENT

Building on the success of previous editions, WBA has renewed its partnership with the Cities Connection Project and is preparing a new exhibition, this time featuring 20 projects by architects from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, 20 projects by architects from Catalonia and 10 projects by architects from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and 10 project from Grand Est.

This will be the 7th edition of the “Cities Connection Project” cycle, curated by Nicola Regusci and Xavier Bustos. The aim is to create a network of cultural connections between cities and regions that share an important architectural tradition, while highlighting contemporary architecture and urban planning. The cities of Zurich, Mendrisio, Geneva, Lausanne and Barcelona, as well as the Wallonia-Brussels Federation have been involved in previous editions.

The seventh edition of CCP seeks to bring together these transitional architecture projects, high-quality architecture that favours the reuse of existing spaces, the reuse of materials, sustainable construction systems and materials, buildings with a new approach to construction that are more energy-efficient, and mixed-use programmes that in a way help to bring activities together without dispersing them, while promoting user well-being.
